On February 25 a tree-planting campaign dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was organized by the Baku Youth and Sports Department, Executive Power of  Sabunchu District and Sabunchu District Youth and Sports Department.

The representatives of many organizations, veterans and volunteers in Balakhani settlement of Sabunchu district, as well as the students of the Academy of the State Customs Committee also took part in the event.

A flash mob was organized by opening the state flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan. 150 pine trees were planted by community members in honor of Khojaly martyrs and the immortal souls of our martyrs.

The event has a great importance in terms of increasing attention to environmental culture and promoting a sense of care for nature. The students of the Academy watered and cared for newly planted trees.
